Skillcrush

Skillcrush is a bootcamp like website. Initially you sign up for what they call a “Blueprint” at a cost of $399 at once or $149 a month for 3 months.  Each blueprint has a specific topic that consists of Web Development, Web Design, Mobile Web Development, Freelance WordPress Developer, and Ruby on Rails Developer.

Currently, I am working through the Web Development Blueprint. I am searched for reviews of the Skillcrush and haven’t found much. So I thought that I would give an in-depth “play-by-play” of my journey through the course. So far I have completed the first class of the Web Development Blueprint. I completed with ease and the information was simple to follow. I am retaking the course,  because last time I did not take notes. Sorry I am a note taker and forget things that I do not take notes about.  The videos are informative and Adda(the women who founded Skillcrush) is likable although slightly too chipper for me, but that’s a personal opinion. They also provide the transcript if she goes too fast for you. You will work on a project the entire way through the course. As you are taught new things, you tweak your project. At the time of sign up, you are signed up for a forum called Mightybell. This is to help you work with other people and view their projects as well. It also helps when you can’t figure out a certain step like all your lists go to the side of one page.

There is a schedule that is recommended on the page, like do this lesson on this day and so on. This will show you when you will complete the course. Although, you can go on your own and complete it faster than the page suggests. In the web development course, you will make a web page during the first course.

At this time, I have a rough web page, but like I said I am retaking the first course. I will keep you all up on any updates. Talk to you later!!!
